The Bureau of Behavioral Health Wellness and Prevention has partnered with Crisis Support Services of Nevada (CSSNV) to implement a statewide substance use hotline and case management program. CSSNV staff are an experienced highly trained team of advocates who provide immediate crisis intervention services. CSSNV is confidential and free to use, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to all who are in need of their services. Rather, we are directed by local residents and sector representatives who determine the best strategies to address substance abuse in our community. The CARE Coalition is a nonprofit organization that provides awareness, and education to members of the community regarding the number one health problem in Nevada: alcohol and drug abuse. The goal of the coalition is to reduce the number of first time drug users in the community and to provide a resource for at-risk individuals to build their capacity and resilience.

We believe in the power of recovery to change outlooks, lives and ultimately our community. Northern Nevada’s Only State Licensed Halfway House TEC is the only state licensed halfway house in N. Nevada. TEC is licensed through the State of Nevada Bureau of Health Care Quality Compliance to offer 36 beds to at-risk women in our community and is certified by the Substance Abuse Prevention & Treatment Agency (SAPTA) as a Level 2.1 Outpatient Adult Service provider.

STEP2 Reno Nevada Helping Women With Drug & Alcohol Issues. Since 1986, we have helped women who are experiencing substance use disorders participate in rehabilitation services. We understand that women experience certain barriers in obtaining services which is why our mission is to provide gender-specific supportive services to women, women with young children and expectant mothers. STEP2 was founded on the principle that pregnant and parenting women should not have to choose between being a parent and receiving substance use disorder treatment and we believe that a continuum of care model should encompass multiple steps to reach and maintain sobriety. Our year-long program includes residential inpatient services at our 20-bed residential facility, outpatient services and transitional housing as well as wraparound services including case management, medical care referrals and coordination, childcare assistance, parenting education, transportation assistance, domestic violence advocacy and education, and on-site mental health assessment, therapy and medication assistance.
